Job Category
QuinStreet is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Front End QA Engineer to join our team. As a Front End QA Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing and analysis. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to identify and resolve defects and ensure a seamless user experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software products.
Responsibilities
- Review functional requirement documentation and create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify problems in design and/or implementation.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
- Participate in the QA function of the web platforms, including Systems and Integration Testing, Regression Testing
- Participate in QA function of the web platforms, including Systems and Integration Testing, Regression Testing and Compliance Testing
- Perform root cause analysis to identify problems in design and/or implementation
- Make decisions in day-to-day operations, proactively raising issues with managers when necessary
Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- Good experience with web applications front end UI testing.
- Solid understanding of test process – Requirement analysis, test scenario design, writing test cases, test data preparation and test execution, tracking defects and report results, and Test Estimation.
- Need to have good exposure to different types of testing like Web application testing, Functional testing, Regression testing and Integration testing
- Experience with test cases and bug management tools.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines individually or as a team.
- Knowledge of Unix commands.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Performance Skills:
- Tools: JIRA, Bugzilla,
- DB: MS SQL Server, Oracle
- OS: Windows, Mac
- Source Control: SVN, Perforce (good to have)
The expected hourly range for this position is $42/hr to $55/hr. This hourly range is an estimate, and the actual hourly rate may vary based on the Company's compensation practices. The hourly rate may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in the Company's standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits.
