About the Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Web Developer to join the Front marketing team to manage, build and optimize Front.com. You will have ownership of our website technology stack to optimize and improve it, creating best-in-class customer experiences for new leads and existing customers. You will take charge of continually optimizing our publicly-facing pages based on business data and internal needs while advocating for modern technical solutions / enhancements to help scale our existing processes.
What will you be doing?
Own front-end web development projects from scoping through implementation and optimization.
Partner closely with our additional members of our marketing, design, and content and teams as a technical stakeholder to influence and drive project outcomes.
Redesign web pages and update existing sites based on high-fidelity designs.
QA and troubleshoot website Ul, performance issues and bugs when they arise.
Support design and development of A/b tests and other website optimization efforts.
Follow and communicate industry best practices on web development such as accessibility, website performance and site architecture.
Support website sprint management with scoping, setting stakeholder expectation and proactively communicating potential risks/delays.
What skills & experience do you need?
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
At least 5 years of front-end development experience managing, developing and deploying changes across high traffic, public-facing websites (SaaS industry preferred).
Significant experience developing in JavaScript (Node.js) and PHP and related frameworks.
A history of building and managing websites in React and/or Next.js.
Experience working on marketing teams as an individual owner or as part of small (<5) development teams.
Proven experience working with third-party APIs, GraphQL and modern CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS.
Experience managing code changes across local, pre-production and production environments using containers (DDEV, Docker, etc.) and virtualization.
Experience deploying web apps across a variety of cloud platforms such as Vercel, Heroku, Netlify, etc.
Previous experience working on website redesigns and CMS migrations.
Bonus:
A proven history of optimizing websites for speed and mobile performance.
Familiarity with a/b testing, feature-flagging and personalization.
Examples of building websites with open-source CMS systems such as Grav CMS, Jekyll, etc.
Example projects deployed with modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, Codeigniter, etc.
Experience building interactive tools such as calculators, animated reports, and surveys.
