Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Fullstack Software Developer. This role will use their technical skills and experience to deliver product features and business solutions while working product and operations teams. The ideal candidate has a passion for developing and delivering solutions that impact an organization in exponential ways.

What You Will Be Doing

• Participating in the earliest stages of planning with product and operations teams, requirements gathering and creation of minimum viable project solutions.
• Contribute to the technical architecture and implementation of our web application for customers to manage their health insurance. This includes developing, testing and deploying parts of the stack, including partner-facing APIs.
• Collaborate with the product team to understand customer requirements and translate them into software designs which result in timely releases, while building the long-term product vision.
• Collaborate with other development team members to identify or define appropriate APIs for consumption by the application you are building.
• Integrate software systems with internal and 3rd party APIs
• Own monitoring, alarming, analytics, and reporting on all services you build, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Coach and mentor other members of the development team, growing the collective knowledge and expertise of the group.

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of software development experience with programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, or Python.
• Demonstrable, in-depth knowledge and experience with Javascript/TypeScript, Node.js, and React or other similar frameworks. (send us a link to your GitHub)
• Is passionate about software quality, improving the development process, and building highly scalable systems
• Thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
• Enjoys architecting elegant solutions to technical and customer problems
• Stays up-to-date with modern technologies and practices

• Understanding of web and mobile technologies, cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
• A quality advocate who understands the importance of issues prevention at the earliest stages and uses appropriate methods for testing
• Curious, continually learning, and eager to share your newfound knowledge with others

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Understanding of Zero Trust architecture and how to build secure software to eliminate user data breaches.
• Experience with Docker, Google Cloud Platform, especially as it relates to improving developer experience (e.g., project configuration, dockerizing dependencies, mocking dependent services)
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment, including raising the bar for operational excellence.
