Functional Consultant

Job Function: Software & Cloud Services Why SoftwareONE?:

SAP Professional proficient in ECC PP/QM & S4HANA business processes and experienced in configuring functionality, organization structure and master data. Expected to be able to evaluate and suggest possible solutions to business scenarios and requirements for implementation, upgrade, enhancements and migration. Expected to provide functional specifications and guide developers for development objects and assist with testing. As well as delivery, you will be expected to keep abreast of changes within this space and provide this insight to our clients in a thought-leadership role. The role involves implementation as well as support across SAP and connected systems. The candidate must be able to work independently with the user community, IT colleagues and clients to determine appropriate solutions, owning the process of delivery from evaluation and design to implementation and support tasks.

The role:

Core Accountabilities

Be Willing to share technical knowledge and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions.
Provide knowledge transfer to Production Support team after project go-live
Respond to issue escalations and urgency as needed.
Efficiently interact with multiple organizations to successfully implement projects in SAP space.
Work with project management methodologies and Documentation standards as needed
Work closely with onsite and offshore team working on Functional, ABAP, Basis and Security during design and implementation and support.
Work with SAP through service market place in articulating product gaps & issues in SAP.
Learn new SAP Technologies as they are implemented.
Develop new programs for Project team and work on SAP Initiatives. Set up organization structure, master data and configure processes in SAP
Identify and suggest standard SAP Process functionality to meet business needs
Design custom development functionality or interface when needed
Develop functional specifications, testing requirements and create test data
Work with and support developers through the development cycle
Actively participate in root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of issues.
Design scalable, performance optimal and re-usable solution to meet specific business requirements

What we need to see from you:

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

8-10 years of experience in SAP Production Planning (PP-PI), Quality Management (QM), Plant Maintenance (PM) with good communication skills

Experience in designing and implementing various delivery models for global and local engagements, global & regional blueprints, implementation & rollouts, deployment, cutover & data migration for SAP large scale and mid-scale projects including support project
Proficient in business process study, gathering requirements, gap analysis, process design, configuration and development, preparation of functional specifications, testing processes, quality processes, end user training and documentation.
Strong in PP core areas - Master Data, Sales and Operations Planning, Demand Management, Material Requirement Planning, Manufacturing Execution, Production Orders, Process Orders, Batch Management, Repetitive Manufacturing, PI sheets, Product Costing.
Strong in QM - Quality Master Data, Inspection Types, Inspection Plan, Quality Inspection, Inspection Lot Creation, Results Recording, Usage decision, QM in Procurement, Controls in Procurement, Goods Receipt inspection after Production, In-process Inspection in Production, QM in sales delivery, Automatic batch Valuation with QM, Calibration Inspection, Recurring Inspection, Quality Notifications and LIMS interface.
Experience in PM will be value added - Work centers, Functional Locations, Equipment, BOM’s, Permits, Serial Numbers, Catalog Profile, Classification, Measuring Points, Measurement documents, Breakdown maintenance, Corrective maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, Refurbishment process, Test Equipment Management, Investment order process. - Well versed with SAP Fiori configuration
Experience working with onsite and offshore team ( Functional, ABAP, Basis and Security) during project implementation and support.
Experience with data migration from legacy systems
Experience with data migration between SAP versions
Experience working on SAP system upgrades. S/4 Hana certification.
