Accounting Associate

FundThrough is looking for a smart, passionate, resourceful Accounting Associate to join us on our mission to help business owners end the “wait” associated with payment terms.

FundThrough is a leading fintech company accelerating cash flow and enabling growth for small and medium sized businesses that sell to large customers and wait to get paid. Based in Toronto and operating across North America, FundThrough’s AI-powered invoice funding platform gives B2B businesses fast, customized funding offers to get their invoices paid in a few days – rather than a few months – and get quick access to cash they’ve already earned.

• You have a degree or diploma, preferably in accounting.
• You have 0-2 years of experience in a fast paced and team-based environment, experience on a finance/accounting team would be a bonus.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy collaborating with different teams.
• You are comfortable with completing repetitive tasks.
• You pay great attention to detail and accuracy and are highly organized and reliable.
• You are familiar with Excel and/or Google Sheets and are skilled at and naturally interested in learning new software, i.e. FundThrough operating systems.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare daily bank reconciliations identifying issues and errors, investigating and resolving discrepancies in transactions
• Liaise between the finance and cash applications team where needed
• Post journal entries
• Produce other statistical and accounting reports for both internal and external stakeholders
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, investigating and resolving any differences
• Provide trend analysis commentary for identified accounts as part of the month end financials close 
• Assist with annual financial statements audit and any other tasks on an ad-hoc basis
