The Sr. Manager, Integrated Marketing is a critical contributor to the overall Funko Marketing function, responsible for the strategic development and activation of marketing campaigns that build Funko’s brand awareness, brand distinction, and drive increased consideration for the brand overall.
A marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, the ideal candidate will assist in leading and developing the integrated marketing strategy from ideation through activation, improving the planning process, cross-functional partnerships and channel inputs along the way.
From engaging and exciting our core Funatic audience through robust and unique integrated marketing stories, to bringing new customers into the Funko fold, the Sr. Manager will craft stories that elevate the brand and help fulfill Funko’s ambition of being the ultimate pop-culture lifestyle brand.
What You’ll Do
Funko is seeing an entrepreneurial and passionate Franchise Manager to join our team and assist in continued growth and expansion.
The Franchise Manager will act as a key partner to all stakeholders within Funko’s organization. This role will be the leader of Funko’s Franchise organization, is based in Burbank, CA
Lead communication of Licensor Franchise strategies to Funko stakeholders, including: Licensing, Merchandising, Product Development, Finance, PR, Marketing, DTC, Sales, and more.
Provide guidance to internal teams on Licensor brand efforts, marketing implementation and sales executions, to ensure alliance with overall Funko strategy, goals and objectives.
Lead and maintain upkeep or creation of internal Franchise tools, trackers, hubs and documentation across all IP, and regularly distribute to cross-functional teams within Funko.
Align key cross-category initiatives and licensor priorities across Funko’s entire family of brands: Funko, Loungefly, and Mondo. Liaise across departments and teams to collate Marquee Activation priorities and align cross-category opportunities.
Lead bi-annual Business Reviews with key licensor partners and inter-departmental stakeholders at Funko, in partnership with License lead and Franchise team, to create and execute meeting strategy, presentation deck and all logistical needs.
Work closely with IP Security team in tracking and messaging embargo information and documentation, aligning Merchandising, Product Development, Marketing and Sales with key licensor partners’ embargo needs.
Build and foster strong relationships with all content partners, studios, agencies and clients across Funko’s roster of Licensors in the US as well as Globally.
Partner with Retail Marketing and Sales teams to develop plans and strategies for in-store merchandising and marketing efforts based on key Licensor initiatives.
Maintain close coordination with Licensing and Marketing counterparts to explore and leverage opportunities around the launch of new product lines or other tentpole initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
5-7 years of Licensing/Franchise experience
Vast knowledge of Licensing/Franchise best practices, with a willingness to share/lead/implement best practices across functions
Ability to interpret data, analytics and consumer insights - synthesizing information to inform future plans
Tapped into pop-culture and fandoms with an in-depth understanding of consumer affinities across film/television, music, sports, anime, etc.
Demonstrated ability to think from a consumer lens; always putting the fan at the forefront of strategies, programs and initiatives
Comfortable working in a highly matrixed environment
Exceptional organizational skills
Excellent people and management skills, with a high comfort level of holding cross-functional peers accountable for on-time deliverables
Desire to remain up to date on consumer trends and Licensing best practices.
Excellent people and management skills to effectively collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
Salary Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $67,725 - 72,000 annually.Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
