Overview:

The Director of M365 Platform is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of the Microsoft 365 (M365) platform within Gallagher Benefit Services. This role requires a strong understanding of M365 technologies and the ability to build and execute strategies to optimize the platform's functionality and effectiveness.

This position can be entirely virtual/remote/work from home and you can sit anywhere in the US or Canada.


Responsibilities:
  • Strategy Development and Execution:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the M365 platform, aligning it with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage M365 capabilities to drive business process improvements, productivity enhancements, and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define and prioritize strategic initiatives related to the M365 platform.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices to ensure the platform remains up-to-date and aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Platform Management and Optimization:
  • Collaborate with IT teams to define and enforce governance policies, ensuring compliance with security and data protection regulations.
  • Continuously assess and optimize the platform's configuration, features, and integrations to maximize user adoption and productivity.
  • Monitor platform usage and performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including business leaders, IT teams, and end-users.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand their requirements and translate them into effective M365 solutions.
  • Provide guidance and support to end-users, promoting the effective use of M365 tools and features.
  • Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to educate users on M365 capabilities and best practices.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead a team of M365 administrators and specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging team members to contribute ideas and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement professional development plans for team members, ensuring their skills and knowledge align with evolving M365 technologies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in managing and optimizing Microsoft 365 platforms, including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and other related tools.
  • 3+ years of people management experience and/or experience developing and executing strategic plans related to M365 platforms.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based technologies, security protocols, and data governance principles.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
