As a world leader in the Operations Technology (OT) field, OSI develops and supplies state-of-the-art energy management, optimization and control software solutions to energy utility companies worldwide.
We currently have an opening for a Gas Applications Engineer. This is a customer facing role that requires self-motivated individuals with consultative and communication skills to implement OSI solutions. The position is focused on designing, installing, and configuring advanced oil & gas applications for SCADA control systems in upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. In this position you will oversee technical aspects of Product Delivery for OSI’s oil & gas products in coordination with other OSI Engineering staff and customers. Specific on-the-job training will be provided.
Your Impact

Develop and execute system build plans accounting for software architecture, information security, and hardware deployment.

Work closely with customers to understand their operational needs, provide system training, and configuration to meet their needs.

Own the technical Product Delivery aspects, including implementation of the overall proposed system design, of OSI’s products for real-time critical infrastructure control systems.

Perform system and acceptance testing with the end customers.

Work closely with product development and product management teams to enhance OSI’s products into the future.

Travel to customer sites and work directly with customers to successfully deliver, test, and integrate systems.

Represent OSI in a superior manner with an excellent attitude.

Manage assigned projects with care, concern, and diligence.

Be decisive and innovative when resolving issues.
What You'll Need
-
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant technical field.

Proficiency with communicating technical concepts and presenting to customers.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including ability to make clear observations and conclusions based on customer interviews and data.

Strong time / project management and organization skills.

Ability and flexibility to travel to domestic or international locations (less than 25%).

Ability to remain flexible and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Requirements

Experience working in the operations or engineering group of a gas utility or oil & gas energy provider.

Experience working with or deploying real-time control systems including SCADA solutions.

1+ years of engineering or oil & gas industry operations experience.

Knowledge of computer architectures, databases, and operating systems.

Knowledge of IT systems and data center designs.
-
Knowledge of oil & gas measurement principles and hydraulics.
