Our work depends on a clinical technology consultant joining our team to support our software development and support contract. This a REMOTE BASED ROLE.  Candidate must live in the US.

At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Clinical Technology Consultant – Behavioral Health supporting Indian Health Services you will be trusted to work with other clinicians, developers, and federal staff to document changes and requirements for clinical applications.

How You will Make an Impact:

• Develop and mature requirements and documenting required functionality for software development, specific to the provision of behavioral health services.
• Review and analyze software specifications to align with government mandates.
• Collaborate with QA Engineers to help develop effective test plans and data.
• Help develop and/or execute test cases (manual or automated) as needed.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure product relevance throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Inform team leads and other designated management officials of changing industry mandates and end user needs concerning behavioral health service provision.
• Document, track, and escalate issues as appropriate, using Azure DevOps to document identified software requirements.
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology and best behavioral health practices relevant to the industry.
• Supports and helps resolve Helpdesk tickets for the Behavioral Health application.
• Recognized for understanding and communicating common best practices for the industry.
• Utilizes a knowledge base to create conceptual business models and to point out relevant issues and considerations in selecting application software packages, such as those provided by ERP vendors.
• Assesses the operational and functional baseline of an organization and its organizational components, and helps to define the direction and strategy for an engagement while ensuring the organizational needs are being addressed. Examples of the functional areas would include Human Resources, Finance, Supply, Service, etc.
• Works with senior managers to provide industry vision and guidance with regard to their industry.
• Leads the determination and classification of information technology inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area’s ability to support/meet organizational goals.
• Supports the development of functional area strategies for enhanced IT operations in a cross-functional area mode throughout the organization.
• Provides work direction and guidance to other personnel; ensures accuracy of the work of other personnel, operates under deadlines, able to work on multiple tasks.
• Participates in special projects as required.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics, or business/finance.
•  This position requires six years of experience in BPR methods, plus formal training and one year experience in enterprise applications. With a Master’s Degree the position requires only four years of related experience.
• Experience with Health IT, EHR systems, Meaningful Use, HTI-1 and Behavioral Health.
• Demonstrated relevant work experience in developing requirements and documenting required functionality for software development, specific to the provision of behavioral health services.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and document the underlying behavioral health service workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team with adjusting priorities and deadlines.
• Proven ability to work on a remote/distributed team.

Preferred Skills:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work.
• Experience with the Indian Health Service RPMS and/or Veterans Administration VistA EHR systems, specifically the behavioral health components.
• Knowledge of the VA and IHS environments, RPMS or legacy VISTA.
• Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps.

Location: Remote within the USA

Clearance Level: Requires the ability to pass an IHS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years in order to obtain an appropriate level Public Trust clearance.

The likely salary range for this position is $127,254 - $146,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
