The successful candidate will be a proficient UI designer with demonstrable experience delivering user-centric product experiences. The ideal candidate will have experience working with developers, UX designers, and copywriters. This person will help design and shape consumer-facing applications that present the brand and experience for SmartHome Solutions at GE Appliances. This is an exciting... role and one that will enable an individual to directly impact user-experiences.WHAT YOU WILL DO What you'll do Work closely with UX designers and developers. Create and translate wireframes, prototypes, style guides, and user flows and Optimize existing designs. Translate business requirements into smooth interactive user journeys and UI designs Present and defend design decisions to technical and business stakeholders. Develop reusable design and code components and Develop cross platform front end applications. Continually updated to industry best practices. Experience working in Agile team methodology. What experience you need Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Design, or related field and/or 3 years of experience in UI design Existing demonstrable portfolio with Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, etc. Working knowledge of front-end languages such as HTML5, JavaScript Knowledge of UI design packages such as Figma or Adobe design products Ability to visualize interactive user experiences through use-case requirement and Familiar with human to computer interaction Ability to design and build UI proof of concepts and Ability to build / maintain strong relationships, effectively partner with peers, and possess excellent verbal / written communication skills. Strong prioritization skills required to manage all in-flight and pending tasks appropriately. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED What could set you apart Experience in Agile Software Development Experience with Figma/Adobe. Experience in A/B design testing & Working knowledge of responsive design. Ability to create personas to guide/influence design planning and thinking. Strong strategic thinker who can translate strategies into solutions with concrete actions & tactical plans Self-starter with an ability to solve problems with little or no direction. Salary Range: $80K -- $100K Minimum Qualification Software DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications
