Job Description Summary The Global Warehouse & Logistics Leader will oversee our main distribution center, a secondary warehouse at one of our shops, and the logistics team managing inbound and outbound operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing a culture of continuous improvement, driving warehouse and logistics excellence, and ensuring alignment with overall business goals. This leader will also prioritize the safety of our employees, ensuring that all operations are conducted in a safe and compliant manner. Additionally, they will manage the warehouse 3PL contract for the Aero Alliance business and ensure that all warehouse operations are integrated with operations and cross-functional teams.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:• Lead a team of warehouse and logistics personnel in warehouse operations, demonstrating strong integration with manufacturing operations teams and cross-functional stakeholders.• Ensure all operations comply with safety standards and regulations, prioritizing the well-being of all employees and creating a culture of safety awareness.• Establish a culture of continuous improvement and execute a strategy for warehouse and logistics excellence, ensuring timely attainment of key goals.• Manage the warehouse 3PL contract for the Aero Alliance business, ensuring compliance and alignment with business objectives.• Ensure that standard warehouse processes, KPIs, and daily management systems are used to provide the best delivery with the lowest inventory costs.• Establish and monitor key metrics in a hierarchical structure (operating rhythm) to ensure that all warehouse activities meet or exceed expectations, including those performed by contracted employees.• Develop and execute yearly variable and fixed cost plans for the 3PL operation, ensuring quarterly and yearly targets are met. Set and execute productivity targets that improve efficiencies and drive down costs in line with the plan.• Lead and oversee all logistics activities, including incoming receipts, days to stock, inventory accuracy (through cycle counts), and managing shortages and critical shipments.• Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for the warehouse. Leverage experience and expertise to solve complex problems and enhance operational efficiency.• Develop and manage a high-performing team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to warehouse and logistics personnel.• Ensure effective communication and collaboration between the distribution center, shops, and logistics team, fostering a cohesive and accountable work environment.• Maintain strong working relationships with 3PL leadership while ensuring strict adherence to co-employment guidelines.• Collaborate with warehouse and quality teams to address non-conformances through root cause analysis (RCA) processes, containment, and corrective and preventive actions.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.• 7+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics management or manufacturing, with a proven track record of leading teams.• Strong background in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.Desired Characteristics:• Ability to lead, manage, and communicate with all levels of the business.• Inclusive leadership style with a proven ability to build connections with the team through personal involvement and trust.• Knowledge of supply chain management disciplines, such as production and inventory control, lean and continuous improvement, fulfillment metrics, cost systems, and procedures.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.• Ability to handle multiple priorities, act independently, and use sound judgment.• Ability to successfully motivate and maintain high integrity, employee involvement, safety, and teamwork.• Change agent with energy, passion, and enthusiasm to drive change.• Proficiency in warehouse management systems and ERP (Oracle).• High Say / Do ration with a high focus on customer satisfaction.About Us: Aero Alliance is a Joint Venture that serves three segments of customers – its two parent companies, Baker Hughes and GE Power, as well as the Authorized Service Providers (ASP) network.
