ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our team supporting Fluor on their Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) project! This position is full-time and will be based out of Greenville, SC.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct construction document reviews.

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate process/mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects including project startup.

  • Prepare and review calculations and specifications relating to P&ID development.

  • Demonstrate design experience in areas such as, but not limited to mechanical systems and equipment design.

  • Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications.

Requirements

  • Education & Years of Experience – To be considered, you must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience.

  • Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.

  • Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.

  • Experience (nuclear preferred) in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, and related phases of engineering.

  • Familiarity with computer aided drafting applications.

  • Working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design.

Desired Skills

  • Professional Engineer License
