Summary:
A General Assembler is responsible for operating equipment in a factory or warehouse and preparing items for distribution. Performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to mass-product products such as valves for plumbing and heating purposes by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities:
· Assemble components accurately, thoroughly and quickly to approve specifications and quality standards
· Places parts in specified relationship to each other
· Bolts, clips, screws, or otherwise fastens parts together
· Tends machines, such as automated machinery, to perform operations on assembly line
· Rotate through multiple stations on a shift to be familiar with all assembly
· Communicate with other stations on the assembly line to ensure maximum speed and accuracy
· Routinely practice 6s (Safety, Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
· Ensures that workstation is clean and free of hazardous materials
· Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste
· Packs up completed products and prepares them for shipment
· Reports issues or problems with production (equipment defects) to immediate Supervisor
· Observe and removes fault product parts from assembly line
· Other duties as assigned.

· Develops and maintains a clean, safe working environment for self and co-workers
· Consistently maintains acceptable level of productivity
Skills:
· Required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
· Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel components or using controls on an assembly machine
· Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, 15 pounds, & 20 pounds
· Required to stand on feet for long periods of time
· Often performing repetitious motions
Abilities:
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions
· Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
· Able to perform job duties safely.
Benefits:
Upon receipt of an offer of employment, candidates must complete required drug testing within 72 hours. If the timing requirement cannot be met, please notify HR. Exceptions can be made for reasonable requests. All testing will be conducted by a licensed independent medical laboratory, which will follow testing standards in accordance with state law.
