We also provide architecture, implementation and operations support for large scale data migration and integration of on premise and cloud IT systems. GDIT is seeking a Test/QA Team Manager . The IT QA Manager will lead a team of test resources and work collaboratively with developers and business analysts to define and implement automated and manual testing processes to ensure data quality and business process requirements are met.In this role, a typical day will include:• Managing a team of 10 to 15 testing resources.• Leading a team of testers who will be validating web applications, data integration processes (ETL) and end-to-end integration• Monitoring progress of assigned deliverables and communicate status to all appropriate stakeholders.• Participating in collaborative reviews of test case and test evidence artifacts.• Participating in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) ceremonies.• Collaborating with developers, analysts, and management to identify risks and mitigation activities.• Recommending and implement corrective actions as needed to address unplanned technical, functional and resource issues.• Responsible for providing technical and functional oversight to the team members and serving as an advocate for team members.• Escalating to Resource Management and Scrum Masters the appropriate team issues and accomplishments.• Responsible for the resolution of issues that impede the testing effort.• Defining, communicating, and promoting best practices.• Mentoring and guide less experienced testing personnel for testing activities being performed.• Participating in initial meetings and discussions for any new work, including special projects to identify test team impacts as well as assisting with high level ROMs and details estimates in terms of testing effort.• Responsible for creating schedules/timelines/roadmaps for the given tasks/projects.• Attending and/or facilitating meetings and forums with all the stakeholders on both technical and integrated project topics.• Participating in special projects as required.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:• BA/BS in Computer Science or related discipline.• 7+ years related IT quality assurance experience, including prior experience leading/managing a team.• Prior experience with testing large database systems, Extract/Transform/Load processes, and business intelligence reports.• Experience with automated testing and developing test scripts.• Highly proficient with Structured Query Language (SQL) on one or more database platforms.• Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or related Agile methodology.• Experience testing web applications built using React with automation/testing tools similar to Selenium/CucumberPREFRRED QUALIFICATIONS:• Proficiency in AWS Glue, S3, PostgresQL/Cloud databases preferred• Familiarity with Medicare data and business processes strongly preferredATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:• Ability to lead and be a cooperative member of the Test Team on testing activities.• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, recommends improvement to support quality and monitors independent work to ensure quality and consistency.• Ability to be flexible to changing demands and priorities.• Excellent written and verbal communication.The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Our benefits package for all US-based employees includes a variety of medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts, dental plan options, a vision plan, and a 401(k) plan offering the ability to contribute both pre and post-tax dollars up to the IRS annual limits and receive a company match. GDIT typically provides new employees with 15 days of paid leave per calendar year to be used for vacations, personal business, and illness and an additional 10 paid holidays per year. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee’s date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees.
