The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off).• On-going learning opportunities within a diverse, inclusive and rewarding work environment.• Onsite Cafeteria, remodeled with new equipment Fitness Center, and Outdoor fitness track.Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role• Perform Import/Export compliance audits.• Review potential Export Controlled Information (Technical Data/Technology) to verify the export rating/classification of documents and commodities on RFQs/POs/Shipments.• Proficient knowledge of all applicable International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Customs requirements.• Ensure applicable authorizations under U.S. export and import laws and regulations are obtained for all divisional requests.• Manage all aspects of SCM related Trade Compliance for the GDLS Enterprise.• Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes and provide training as required.• Identify, recommend, and implement related process improvements.• Provide guidance and requirements to the GDLS Enterprise, concerning Trade Compliance regulations.• Oversee the completion of corrective actions, to include tracking, validating, status reporting, and closure.• Assist with responses to government or inquiries on ITAR, EAR, Customs, and other trade related matters.• Assist with Import/Export operational activities as required.Qualifications Sought• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience.• Experience as a Licensed Custom Broker preferred.• Strong proficiency in International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Customs.• Proficient in product classification both domestic and international to include EAR and ITAR.• Background or experience within defense industry preferred.• Acute attention to detail.• Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations.• Able to work independently and in teams.• Critical thinking and excellent problem solving and analytical skills.• Effective written and oral communication skills.• Self-starter with strong organizational, time management, planning and follow-through capabilities.• Must have high energy, good interpersonal skills, communication, and presentation skills with strong leadership skills.• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).• Preferred working knowledge of ERP functionality.• Prospective employees must be able to certify U.S. Person status• Able to travel as required (minimal).• Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
