GENERAL LABORER/PRODUCTION LABORER

Job description CertainTeed is seeking Production Operators for our asphalt shingle manufacturing facility in Shakopee, MN. The primary function of the Production Operators is to safely operate the production machines and to support a zero-defect quality system. Pay and Benefits: • Pay starts at $24.18/hour • Medical, dental and vision benefits available after 30 days through the Teamsters Union • Annual bonus plan available • 401K and Retirement Accumulation Plan (Pension) • Opportunities for frequent OT • 1 week of vacation after 6 months of employment; 1 additional week of vacation after 1 year of employment. Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED; • Reliable attendance; • Ability to follow safety protocols and plant rules; • Availability to work 12 hour shifts, include days, nights and weekends Work Environment: • 100% Manufacturing Environment: Areas of the manufacturing plant are not temperature controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas >80 decibels are present inside plant areas; manufacturing processes involve granules, silica sand, fiberglass, asphalt coating, crushed rock, and polypropylene; moving equipment such as forklifts, genie-booms, trucks and industrial sweepers travel throughout the property and high temperature hazards exist such as: asphalt coating, thermal oil and steam.

Physical Requirements: • Frequent bending, stooping, pulling; • Ability to lift up to 80; • May require extended periods of standing; • Ability to work in various temperature extremes
