Position Title: General Maintenance

Department: Maintenance/Engineering

FLSA Status: Nonexempt
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Ensures safe and efficient operation of the bakery equipment

2. Main responsibility pallet repair

3. Performs regular equipment, building and ground inspections; communicates potential problems and safety issues to immediate supervisor.

4. Performs daily and shift work assignments in a timely and efficient manner; documents activities through daily shift reports.

5. Maintains a safe and clean work environment; ensures parts and tools are in good operating order and properly stored and performs general housekeeping of all maintenance areas.

6. Change air filters monthly for the HVAC system.

7. Performs other job related duties as may be assigned or required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift up to 75lbs, pushing, pulling and moving objects weighing up to 100lbs plus using carts or dollies. Repetitive motion bending, reaching, stooping, squatting and sitting. Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders.

KNOWLEDGE

Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical and HVAC

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 6 months to 1 year of related general maintenance/repair work.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Irregular hours or periodic overtime required. Occasional exposure to extreme weather situations. Must be able to work in an area that contains dust, fumes, chemicals, heat, cold, noise levels higher than normal and heights. Protective equipment is provided.
