Your Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support our Regional Counsel in her day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and an interest in supporting a lawyer in a fast-paced in-house position at a creative company. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for various administrative tasks, such as managing calendars, collecting information needed to review professional services agreements, prioritizing tasks, organizing training sessions, responding to subpoenas or other correspondence, undertaking initial review of comments on agreements with consultants and vendors, and organizing and reviewing documentation related to claims or litigation. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is seeking to grow their legal career and gain experience working alongside experienced legal professionals.

There will be typical administrative responsibilities such as expense reports, travel planning, phone messages and calendar jockeying; but this job is so much more! Collect information, track and prepare professional services agreements for review by counsel

Review Consultant Agreements

Finalize contract revisions and manage deadlines

Draft Litigation Holds

Manage and organize claims files, including electronic records

Plan and organize Legal training sessions

Manage attorney calendar, including scheduling appointments and tracking deadlines

Perform other administrative duties as assigned

Coordinate detailed travel reservations and ensure that changes or problems are resolved and communicated

Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through on issues in a timely manner

Prepare routine correspondence, presentations, and other complex documents

Addresses miscellaneous tasks as requested or designated by the Legal Counsel
Your Qualifications

Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in a related field

5+ years of experience in a legal assistant or administrative role, preferably in a law firm or legal department

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
