Job Description
The Geophysical Data Processor (Onshore) will be responsible in supporting marine geophysical projects and hydrographic surveys in the form of data processing and analysis. Processes data by collating, processing and presenting data on and running of projects of low complexity, assisting more senior personnel on projects of low to high complexity,
Job Responsibilities

Post-process and analysis of multibeam bathymetry, multibeam backscatter, sidescan sonar, magnetometer, sub-bottom profiler, navigation and still images from both AUV and conventionally towed sensors.

Interacts with other staff members in interpretation, CAD, and GIS to help prevent reoccurring data processing issues and reworks.

Learns technical information about geophysical sensors and understand associated processing workflows.

Identifies personal training needs and notifies supervisor and takes full advantage of training opportunities provided.

Analytical and problem-solving skills as it pertains to data quality.

Able to meet deadlines.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Thorough understanding of all software functionality to support complete project delivery.
Job Requirements

Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions.
-
Possess the ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel.

Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record.

Possess a 2 year degree in a Technical or Survey discipline.
-
Must have 2 years’ or more experience with geophysical related data processing.
-
Have 3 years’ experience or more with geophysical AUV / seismic and mechanical survey data acquisition systems, i.e., AUV operations, Sidescan Sonar, Sub-bottom Profilers, Seismic, Multibeam Echo Sounders.

Must have a thorough understanding of Computer Systems, hardware, and software ; Microsoft Office Suite, ArcGis, Global Mapper, data processing and database software.

Geophysical field experience a plus.

Understanding of Python is a plus.
