Your JobGeorgia-Pacific Corrugated is seeking qualified professional for their Plant Scheduler opportunity supporting the West Monroe, LA operation. This role is a key interlink between sales, production, supply chain and our manufacturing. The Plant Scheduler will service the production needs of the facility from vital supply ordering to the final finished good material and drive optimization of production planning in a high SKU manufacturing environment with multiple manufacturing lines.Our TeamThe team at West Monroe specializes in the Bulk Box manufacturing process with both converting and corrugator assets, where they support the self-actualization of their employees.We create a work environment that attracts, engages, and retains the best people. Our technology is state of the art, and we will bring the best team together to deliver for our customers, Georgia-Pacific, and the Monroe-West Monroe community.What You Will Do• Scheduling of orders for a corrugated paper machine, finishing equipment, and managing the roll stock inventory• Working with customer service to effectively plan to meet customer needs and efficiently maximize the productivity of the operation• Managing roll stock which includes ordering, receiving, warehousing, and consuming paper in addition to analyzing usage and utilization trends to ensure the right product mix is available to efficiently meet the needs of our customers• Interfacing and working directly with production, customer service, and various other departments within the plant operation• Exemplify and advance the PBM® (Principled Based Management) philosophyWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)• Previous experience in corrugated manufacturing environment• Previous experience and proven ability to operate and manage a computer-based production scheduling system• Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorshipWhat Will Put You Ahead• Bachelor’s degree• Previous experience with CSC Vue within KIWI System, BGO (Board Grade Optimization) and Orion• Previous experience with Lean Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma Certification• Previous experience and understanding of bulk and conventional product flow in corrugated packagingAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
