Geotab is seeking an Associate Vice President, Partner Program who will be responsible for the strategic direction, overall management and success of Geotab’s partner program. What you’ll do:


As the AVP, Partner Program your key area of responsibility will involve expanding, creating and executing strategies that enable a large network of partners that solve important problems for customers. This position calls for a leader with experience implementing a successful, world-class partner program and who can collaborate with cross-functional teams, support partners effectively, and identify opportunities for growth.


How you’ll make an impact:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive channel strategy that aligns with Geotab's overarching goals and market opportunities.
  • Build and lead the team responsible for managing partnerships, ensuring a seamless partner experience, and delivering programs to enhance partner engagement and growth.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to create synergistic initiatives that propel product adoption through our channel partners.
  • Oversee the design and improvement of channel program structures, including incentive models, accreditation, and partner tiers, to motivate performance and reward excellence.
  • Establish and regularly assess program metrics and KPIs to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, making adjustments to drive effectiveness and partner satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, advocating for partner needs and influencing product direction.
  • Engage with key partners to understand their challenges and objectives, fostering robust relationships and a strong community of advocates.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline partner enablement, providing resources and tools that bolster partner capabilities and success.
  • Analyze market trends and partner feedback to identify untapped areas and develop strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Oversee the activities and performance of department; provide direction, coaching, and mentorship to team leads, managers, and individual contributors, collaborate and support employees during the performance management process, meeting KPAs and career development planning, and engage in the development of the team by coaching, providing feedback, identifying areas of growth and training opportunities.
  • Manage department resource planning.
  • Establish and maintain an open channel of communication to skip level reports.
  • Support and advocate for the Partner learning strategy and learning team by harnessing partner feedback to help refine educational initiatives and set measurable performance targets to achieve effective training programs.


What you’ll bring to this role:
  • 10 -12 years experience in channel program leadership, partner management, or a similar role within the technology sector.
  • Partner Program Development: The ability to design and develop comprehensive partner programs that address the specific needs and objectives of partners. This includes structuring incentive programs, partner tiering, and certification frameworks.
  • Partner Enablement: Extensive experience in partner enablement, channel management, or a related field is essential. This includes a deep understanding of partnership dynamics, collaboration strategies, enablement programs, and best practices.
  • Sales and Business Development: Strong sales and business development background is important as the role involves driving strategic partnerships and revenue growth. Experience in managing partner relationships, negotiating contracts, and closing deals is valuable.
  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge and experience in connected vehicle solutions is highly desirable. This includes understanding market trends, competitive landscape, and the partner ecosystem within the industry.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Prior experience in leadership roles, such as managing teams or departments, is crucial. The ability to provide guidance, mentorship, and support to a team of enablement professionals is vital for success.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with various internal teams, such as sales, marketing, product management, is important. Experience in aligning strategies and fostering strong relationships across different departments is valuable.
  • Communication and Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary for establishing and maintaining productive relationships with partners. Experience in presenting complex information, influencing stakeholders, and resolving conflicts is beneficial.
  • Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Experience in analyzing data, monitoring key performance indicators, and making data-driven decisions is valuable. The ability to think strategically and develop comprehensive partnership strategies is essential.
  • Change Management: Experience in managing and leading change initiatives within an organization is beneficial, as partner enablement often involves implementing new processes, technologies, or programs.
  • International Experience: Experience in managing global partnerships or working with partners in different regions can be advantageous, particularly for organizations with an international presence.


$192,000 - $218,000 a year
The annual salary for this position is anticipated to range from $192,000 - $218,000 USD. Geotab offers various perks and benefits and other compensation components that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary for this position would depend on a variety of factors such as but not specific to skills, qualifications, education and overall experience, including the location the applicant lives or intends to live while performing the job. This also includes equity with other team members and alignment with local market data. All offers of employment are contingent upon proof of eligibility to work and the individual's ability to pass a background check.
