About the role

Parker is in search of someone to join our robust underwriting team here at Parker. You’ll be joining a team with deep e-commerce and commercial cards underwriting expertise, with backgrounds at Flexport, Wayflyer, Yardline, and American Express.

What you’ll do

Complete financial analysis, assign risk tiers and spend limits for new applicants and existing portfolio companies.
Identify and drive forward opportunities to automate underwriting.
Discover weaknesses in credit policy and propose alternatives.
Develop new data sources to enhance underwriting accuracy and risk mitigation.
Collaborate closely with sales, customer support, product, and risk operations teams.

Who you are

2+ years total experience underwriting in SMB credit, ideally at a fintech but also entrepreneurial folks at larger institutions could be a fit.
Strong understanding of business credit fundamentals, financial statements, etc.
Desire for a steep career trajectory; venture backed startups are an accelerated, sometimes difficult career path that you should be aware of and excited about.
Systems-oriented: Your first instinct is to apply systems, logic, and automation to unsolved problems
Growth mindset
Strong communicator who can articulate your ideas clearly, and make difficult decisions. People should like you.
