Our client, a large non-profit is seeking a talented and motivated Financial Analyst to support the organization's financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in providing valuable insights, conducting financial assessments, and assisting in decision-making processes to ensure the effective allocation of resources and the achievement of our mission.
Responsibilties- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Assist in the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans to support strategic decision-making and goal attainment.
- Conduct financial analysis and performance evaluations to assess the financial health of programs and initiatives, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Budget Management:
- Collaborate with department heads and program managers to develop and monitor program budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and resource constraints.
- Track and analyze budget variances, investigate discrepancies, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders, executive leadership, and the Board of Directors.
- Support the preparation of grant-related financial reports, ensuring compliance with grant requirements and regulations.
- Grant Management:
- Assist in the financial administration of grants and contracts, including budget development, expenditure tracking, and reporting to funders.
- Work closely with program managers and development teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting on grant-funded activities and outcomes.
- Data Analysis and Modeling:
- Utilize financial modeling techniques and data analysis tools to evaluate financial scenarios, assess risks, and identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and special projects as requested by senior management to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or related roles, preferably in the non-profit sector or a relevant industry.
