About The Role: 


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Product Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be the integral link between product and engineering, helping ensure we keep velocity while maintaining quality. You will be at the forefront of driving product development, ensuring seamless sprint planning, feature rollouts, and overall project execution. You will work closely with the Head of Product and other cross-functional teams to assist in scoping features, optimizing workflows, and ensure the efficient operations of product development activities



What You’ll Do:
  • Sprint Planning: Lead and manage sprint planning sessions, ensuring clear priorities and achievable goals are set for each sprint.
  • Feature Rollouts: Coordinate and oversee the rollout of new features, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and that the release process is smooth and efficient.
  • Feature Scoping: Assist the Head of Product in collaborating with stakeholders to define and document the scope of new features and enhancements, ensuring alignment with product goals. Work closely with engineering to help develop technical scopes and determine technical feasibility.
  • Template Creation: Develop and maintain templates for various product management processes, including feature scoping, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Standups & Retros: Facilitate daily standups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies, fostering a collaborative and transparent team environment.
  • Backlog Grooming: Regularly review and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that the most valuable and feasible features are at the top.
  • Intake Management: Manage the intake of new feature requests and bugs, ensuring they are properly documented, prioritized, and aligned with overall product strategy.
  • Ticket Creation & Management: Create and manage detailed tickets in Jira and Linear, ensuring clear communication of requirements and timelines to the development team.
  • Tool Optimization: Continuously optimize Jira, Linear, and other product management tools to streamline workflows and improve team efficiency.
  • Epic & Ticket Scoping: Assist in the scoping of epics and detailed tickets, working closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and feasibility.
  • Documentation Management: Oversee and maintain all existing documents in Confluence and Intercom, ensuring they are organized in a logical and accessible manner for all team members.

  • Research & Data Fluency: Effectively gathers the relevant product information and data necessary to garner insights that enhance decision-making processes and workflows in the Product Area  
  • Execution: Ability to translate product’s goals and vision to ensure the product plan is executed efficiently and supports defined goals; includes defining key assumptions, considering potential risk & defining potential mitigation, and defines go to market strategy and how success will be measured.
  • Planning & Development: Ensures the product roadmap outlines the vision, direction, priorities, and progress of the product and that development of the roadmap aligns the organization around short and long-term goals for the product 
  • Requirements Definition & Prioritization: Ability to prioritize stories and convert product requirements into comprehensive Scope pages and communicate them effectively to the engineering org 
  • Delivery & Feedback: Effectively rolls out product releases and manages collaboration, coordination, and communication across stakeholders; Collects stakeholder feedback to help connect the dots between design, technology, and business to create amazing products 
  • Feature Releases: Ability to create standardized processes for feature releases, new product announcements, bug updates, and similar communications to the organization.


What Success Looks Like:
  • What you will have accomplished 90 days in: 
  • Take ownership of recurring meetings such as Standups, Retros, Intake, Grooming, Sprint Planning, etc
  • Deliver plan for organization existing Confluence and structure moving forward
  • Become first point of contact for all new tickets created and ensuring Jira and Linear stay in sync
  • Work with Support Team to ensure all aspects of the platform are properly documented for all team members
  • What you will have accomplished 6 months in: 
  • Become a material contributor to new Epic and ticket creation, be confident in being a contributor to all upcoming work
  • Lead the rollout of new features and coordinate with relevant team members to ensure an effective release
  • Establish a clearly defined roadmap that can easily be communicated to external stakeholders

  • Collaboration Tools - Slack, Zoom, Google Suite
  • Payment Gateways - Stripe, PayPal
  • Reporting - Everflow, Tableau
  • Ad Platforms - Facebook, Google, Taboola, OutBrain
  • Agile & Delivery Tools - Confluence, Jira, Linear, BitBucket
  • Monitoring & Testing - Data Dog, Circle CI, Cypress
  • Wireframing & Prototyping - Figma and Miro


Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or 5 years of relevant work experience 
  • 3+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on technical products
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, APIs, cloud computing, data analytics, and/or other relevant technologies
  • Ability to balance technical requirements with business goals; experience in developing product strategies and roadmaps
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving abilities; experience using data-driven decision-making to make product decisions
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams; experience in agile methodologies
  • Proven track record of successful product launches


Preferred Education & Experience:
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) 
  • Experience with Javascript and PHP a plus 
  • Experience working in a start-up environment
  • Experience managing or running D2C ecommerce brands
  • Industry knowledge and experience with affiliate marketing
  • Working knowledge of ad platforms and ad platform reporting (Facebook, Google, Taboola, Outbrain, etc)
