Senior Product Manager, Software Supply Chain Security: Authentication & Identity

GitLab is an AI-powered DevSecOps platform company looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and roadmap for Authentication & Identity systems. This role focuses on transforming GitLab's authentication architecture to support enterprise-scale security and developer experience.

Skills

Expertise in enterprise authentication protocols: SAML, LDAP, OIDC, OAuth.
Knowledge of modern authentication paradigms such as zero-trust and token-based security.
Understanding of distributed systems with focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
Experience with enterprise customer onboarding and identity integration.
Familiarity with developer workflows and CI/CD authentication needs.
Strong analytical and communication skills to translate complex technical concepts.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end product strategy for human and machine authentication systems.
Define and drive the roadmap for the GitLab Adaptive Trust Environment (GATE) and related components.
Collaborate with Security, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to align product decisions with technical feasibility and business value.
Lead enterprise identity protocol strategy including SAML, LDAP, OIDC to handle millions of daily authentication requests.
Drive consolidation of multiple token types into a unified, secure token management system.
Manage cross-functional collaboration to balance technical debt and feature development.
Partner with Customer Success and Sales to address enterprise customer authentication requirements.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
