Job Description
The Global Compensation Director at Fragomen is tasked with the design, implementation, administration, and communication of innovative compensation programs globally while ensuring market competitiveness and compliance requirements.
The position would be a hybrid role, and we will consider candidates willing to work out of the following locations. Matawan NJ, Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Chicago IL, Dallas TX, Houston TX, Detroit MI, Miami FL, Pittsburgh PA, Washington DC, or Minneapolis MN.
As a Global Compensation Director, you will:
  • Review current compensation processes and procedures to identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend solutions for implementation to drive efficiency as well as enhance employees’ total rewards experience.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership in the design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of compensation programs including base pay, variable pay, merit, compensation planning, market analysis, and retention with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Partner with the external vendors to optimize our job structure and usage of salary surveys to equip the firm with robust and reliable data to market price jobs, develop band & salary structures, and provide HR business partners and business leaders with market-based and thoughtful guidance related to pay decisions.
  • Develop and conduct training and education on compensation programs for the broader Total Rewards and HR teams.
  • Leverage Workday to establish a self-service compensation design model for the firm via the creation of tools & resources to empower managers, HR business partners, and talent acquisition to formulate compensation decisions aligned with the firm’s compensation strategy and policies
Let’s talk if you have the following:
  • A minimum of 8+ years of progressive compensation experience partnering with senior leadership/executives and a track record for driving the talent agenda
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field of study or equivalent experience
  • Solid project management skills and the ability to execute projects in a complex, matrix global environment while maintaining focus on the business and its customers
  • Demonstrated experience in job evaluation, job architecture, market pricing, benchmarking, salary structure design and development, pay for performance and incentive compensation
  • Proven managerial experience with the capability of developing and motivating extended team members that do not report to you
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office products and HR applications (Workday experience preferred)
  • Familiarity with all federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to engage leaders and employees, influence decision-making and generate enthusiasm
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong global leadership, ability to influence, and able to present complex concepts in a clear and simple manner
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive, creative, flexible, innovative and an integrative thinker
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple issues and projects of varying complexity and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of trends and strategy as it relates to global compensation delivery and standardization
  • Deep understanding of change management and the ability to think strategically around how to deploy programs and manage that change across a variety of Partners & organizations
  • Strong project management skills. Exposure to difficult or complex projects a plus
  • Ability to anticipate and understand customer needs and provide guidance
  • Advanced Degree in Human Resources or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
