We are looking for a Global Freight Operations Manager to join our Logistics Team in a remote capacity. This role will be the critical link between the warehousing, purchasing and demand planning department. You will be responsible for ensuring on-time supplier delivery, warehouse readiness and providing inflow-outflow information to the demand planning department. This is a great opportunity for anyone that is keen to grow their career in a fast paced, high performing team that is managing our global supply chain.

What you will focus on:

  • Manage and measure several key logistics accounts with KPIs and performance reporting
  • Manage international transport and customs operations
  • Develop relationships with existing and new customers to enable retention and growth
  • General customs related processes including export / import declarations / ACP process
  • Manage import zones and local export
  • Proactively liaise with customers, suppliers, and partners to ensure a high-quality service
  • Deal with customer queries in a professional manner
  • Liaise with customs or other regulatory bodies as required
  • Issue customer quotations and conversions into bookings, guarantee the local charges of purchase
  • Application of customer rates, supplier charges and invoicing
  • Maintain good working practices while proactively identifying continuous improvements that will offer customers with an enhanced service
  • Support colleagues in other departments as well as offices nationally and internationally
  • Flexible and hands-on approach to prioritizing duties and achieving deadlines
  • Ensure excellent customer service is always delivered
  • Forecast, organize and debrief the import & export activity
  • Give technical advice to the warehouse teams and suggest new actions to improve economic performance, guide warehouse teams for schedule drivers and vehicles to meet customer bookings

What we are looking for:

  • University Degree from Engineering departments or BA
  • Experience working in a similar environment, preferably customer facing
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Fluency in English is required for this role
  • A good balance of being assertive and collaborative
  • Self-motivated with good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team and be accountable for tasks and actions
