Job Description
QAD has an exciting opportunity for a Global Payroll Manager on our Finance team. This position is fully remote and based in the U.S. Your responsibilities will include managing global payroll operations across Americas, EMEA and APAC regions, ensuring the global payroll team processes payroll accurately and in accordance with country legislation. You will ensure globally consistent and efficient processes are in place as well as monthly review and approval of payroll input data completeness and accuracy, the global payroll/benefits accounting entries, reconciliations and analysis. This role will work closely with stakeholders across Finance, HR, IT and external parties; building integrations to/from the payroll systems and ensuring payroll issues are dealt with swiftly. You will also support year end audits and payroll tax inspections. This position reports directly to the VP, Order to Cash and Corporate Controller in the U.S..
What you’ll do:
Manage global payroll operations/team across Americas, EMEA and APAC regions.

Ensure global payroll team processes payroll accurately/timely and in accordance with country legislation of monthly payroll changes and the submission of payroll/related payments to ensure employees and government/pensions/other agencies are paid on time.

Work with HR Operations to ensure payroll data integrating from Workday/CloudPay is accurate and resolve Workday/CloudPay integration errors.

Review/Approve payroll output (using gross to net reporting etc) and understand/comment on variances.

Ensure globally consistent and efficient processes are in place.
Month End Accounting

Review of payroll/benefits/payroll taxes journals and GL reconciliation accounts to ensure accurate GL postings/payments.

Perform month end analytics to ensure all payroll related accounts are accurate and restate/correct any costs booked, e.g. payroll taxes included or excluded from adjusted EBITDA, etc.
Local Country Requirements

Support statutory audits and payroll tax inspections by providing necessary data/reports from payroll system/GL.

Ensure the Payroll team build their knowledge on local country requirements and minimize reliance/spend on third party consultancy
Support HR Operations

In Termination related activities (understanding tax treatment on each of the elements etc) and participate in severance accounting/analysis//reviews.
Project Management:

Will support various projects and QAD strategic initiatives as this will evolve over time
Budget Responsibility:
-
Responsible for managing the CloudPay payroll contract by reviewing the invoices, managing costs across QAD entities, performing actual vs budget analysis and other tasks as needed to manage payroll team’s budget.
Global Tasks:

Develop CloudPay metrics/reporting which can be used by Finance and Payroll

Maintain global Payroll internal QAD site

Standardize process for data collection and input
Qualifications
What you’ll need:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance or related field.
-
Certified Payroll Professional qualification preferable.
-
5+ years of global payroll management experience preferred and hands-on knowledge of U.S. guidelines.

Experience with Payroll systems (Workday and/or CloudPay would be a plus)

MS Office Suite (particularly Excel)

Experience with GSuite, Smartsheets and ERP applications would be advantageous

Experience with establishing/managing global payroll shared services to support regional payroll.

Ensure best in class standards of processing and apply continuous improvement mindset to the payroll related process.

Provide excellent experience by managing all HR and Finance stakeholders, ensuring efficient and accurate hand over is in place. Monitor the quality of payroll team work and ensure timely issue resolution of any issues raised.

Maintain highest standards of internal controls and oversight.

Reporting and monitoring on payroll related costs, metrics and variance analysis.

Demonstrated strong leadership, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, project coordination, documentation and organizational skills.

Must have a good understanding of accounting principles and processes.

Compensation packages based on experience and desired skill set
Compensation Package:
-
Base pay range: $115,000 - $130,000 USD Annual (12 Months)
-
Placement within our pay range will vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and market location variations as well as internal peer equity

This position is also eligible for an annual company performance bonus
