WHAT YOU'LL DO


We are looking for an enthusiastic Director to lead our Staffing function at the Global level. You will work closely with the Global Mobility & Staffing leadership team, the Staffing Technology Product Teams, Regional Staffing Teams, fellow People Team colleagues around the world who interface with the Staffing function, and other BCG leaders, to drive the strategy for, and transformation of, our Staffing function across the firm.

BCG’s Staffing function is business-critical, managing the overall people deployment strategy and capacity management for the firm. It is also at the heart of many BCG transformations, enabling the firm to deliver on its People agenda, improve Staffing outcomes, put the best teams forward for our clients, and deliver other strategic initiatives.

The Global Staffing Director will be responsible for developing global strategies for our Staffing functions, supporting and enabling our regional and local staffing teams, and driving large change efforts across our Staffing function. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifying and supporting implementation of strategic levers to reduce carbon emissions of our client teams, in line with BCG’s Net Zero commitments

  • Developing strategies for helping Staffing teams manage the increasing complexity of the Staffing role

  • Delivering on our employee value proposition

  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency of, and build sustainability into, our end-to-end staffing processes

  • Partnering with our Staffing technology squads to enable / bring-to-life our Staffing strategies

  • Driving change within our Staffing teams around the world

  • As needed, facilitating / coordinating across geographies to deliver on urgent cross-region client resourcing needs


YOU'RE GOOD AT


  • Communication. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must

  • Building relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders. You should be comfortable influencing senior executives and effectively tailor your communications across all levels, geographies, and cultures represented at BCG

  • Problem solving and forward thinking. We focus on data-driven solutions at BCG. You will need to both act on current needs while having a vision for future goals and roadmap.

  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis. Ability to balance qualitative and big picture impact alongside quantitative analysis and attention to detail is critical. You will quantify potential impact, measure progress, and play a critical role in analysis of functional performance.

  • Diving into granular work when needed. Strong organization and project management skills are key, with an ability to handle, prioritize and carry out multiple tasks independently. This role requires your to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and play an active role to make change happen.

  • Change management and teaming. You must be able to collaborate across the team and ‘influence without power.’

  • Project managing large-scale people transformation efforts. This role involves listening, planning, and project managing global initiatives with a diverse set of stakeholders with various needs and perspectives.

  • Working with a virtual team. You must be comfortable working with team members spread-out across time zones with limited in-person connection.

  • Professional and highly committed to excellence, with the highest ethical standards and strong judgement


YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)


  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced Degree, including MBA, a bonus

  • Minimum 8 years relevant work experience with progressively increasing levels of responsibility, preferably within a professional services firm

  • Proven strong leadership and change management skills

  • Proven ability to deal with ambiguity in fast-paced growth environment

  • HR experience strongly preferred, with demonstrated impact at the regional/global level

  • Experience in global organizations, with demonstrated cultural/identity adeptness

  • Relevant experience in change management and project management required – experience in culture change and people processes highly preferred

  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, with skills in effective communication, persuasion, and influence

  • A demonstrated ability to manage large, transformational projects and senior stakeholders

  • BCG experience strongly preferred, particularly project management or consulting


YOU'LL WORK WITH


The Global Mobility and Staffing Team works on initiatives that help our talent (both client facing and internal) flourish around the world. The team is spread across the globe and works closely with other People Functions Globally and regionally, as well with Consulting Team and Business Services Team Leaders
