The Practice Head - IoT will oversee the technology solutioning and delivery to Globant’s USA and Global clients. As the Practice Head - IoT, you will lead the technology team, working to develop a strategy for engaging without our clients, as well as engineering and delivery of enterprise scale, digital agile transformation technology programs for our client, driving disruption from within. You will be responsible for framing geographically distributed technology groups internally and the technical management of project teams. You will also guide architecture, technical design & development while providing best practice points of view within your area of expertise and be an authority for the latest engineering methods and processes.Job OverviewWe are seeking a dynamic Practice Head - IoT to join Globant and drive our Internet of Things (IoT) initiatives. This leader will be responsible for shaping and growing the IoT practice, spearheading innovation, and delivering scalable solutions to our clients. The Practice Head - IoT will play a key role in defining strategy, building strong partnerships, and managing a talented team of professionals.Key Responsibilities• Strategy & Leadership:• Lead the development and execution of Globant's IoT strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market opportunities.• Define the IoT practice’s vision, goals, and roadmap, driving innovation and competitiveness in the IoT space.• Collaborate with senior leadership to expand Globant's presence in IoT, identifying new growth areas and market opportunities.• Solution Design & Delivery:• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of end-to-end IoT solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.• Work closely with engineering teams, solution architects, and other technical leaders to deliver innovative IoT products and services for clients.• Provide expertise in areas such as device connectivity, edge computing, data analytics, cloud platforms, and industrial IoT (IIoT).• Client Engagement:• Partner with sales, business development, and client teams to identify customer needs and translate them into actionable IoT solutions.• Act as a thought leader and trusted advisor to clients, providing technical expertise, consulting on IoT best practices, and recommending tailored solutions.• Lead client presentations, proposals, and solution demonstrations for key IoT projects.• Team Management & Development:• Build and lead a multidisciplinary IoT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.• Mentor and coach team members, helping them grow their skills in IoT technologies and delivery methodologies.• Promote continuous learning and development to keep the team up-to-date with the latest IoT trends, tools, and frameworks.• Partnerships & Ecosystem:• Establish strategic partnerships with IoT technology providers, hardware manufacturers, and cloud platforms to strengthen Globant’s IoT capabilities.• Collaborate with external partners to co-create and co-innovate in IoT solutions for various industries (e.g., manufacturing, healthcare, transportation).Key Qualifications• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.• 8+ years of experience in the IoT domain, with a focus on solution architecture, development, or delivery.• Strong technical knowledge in IoT platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud IoT), edge computing, device management, and data analytics.• Proven experience in leading and scaling IoT teams and projects, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment.• Deep understanding of industry trends and challenges in IoT, including smart cities, connected devices, IIoT, and healthcare IoT.• Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to engage with C-level executives and business stakeholders.• Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.• Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies is a plus.• Thought leadership in the IoT space, including public speaking, publications, or contributions to industry standards, is desirable.Why Join Globant?• Be part of an agile, fast-paced, and innovative environment.• Work with global clients and top-tier companies in cutting-edge technology projects.• Lead a growing IoT practice within one of the world’s leading technology and digital transformation firms.• Competitive salary, benefits, and career development opportunities.
