Globe Food Equipment Company is a leading assembler and wholesaler of premium meat slicers and food processing equipment. We are committed to quality, innovation, and delivering outstanding products to our customers. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Senior Technical Buyer to join our team and help us maintain excellence in sourcing and supply chain management.


Position Summary:
The Senior Technical Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and procuring mechanical and electrical components to support the assembly of our high-quality products. This role will involve managing relationships with both foreign and domestic suppliers to ensure quality, on-time delivery, and competitive pricing of raw materials and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing within a manufacturing or assembly environment and experience working with ERP systems, Macola Core ERP preferred.  

Requirements

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Manage procurement of materials, tools, equipment, and services to support production.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and lead physical inventory initiatives.
  • Oversee ERP system data, item setup, and vendor quality management.
  • Collaborate with accounting to approve and reconcile supplier invoices.
  • Review and adjust bills of material for finished products and subassemblies.
  • Approve and manage engineering changes and requests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, engineering or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Experience with machining, casting, extrusion, and injection molding.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (Macola Core ERP experience preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite,      especially Excel.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
