Lead Game Designer

Hello, we’re Glowmade! We’re an independant, exciting company and the goal of our games is to unlock people's imagination and help them express themselves in wonderful, fun ways. Right now we’re busy working on King of Meat, a multiplayer cooperative action game releasing this year - watch the trailer here!

We are looking for a Lead Game Designer to join our team and play a crucial role in the development of our next project. Reporting to the company’s design director Mike Green, you’ll be working closely with him to develop the core design concepts for this new game, and collaborating with the whole team to realise this vision.

From day one we would like you to…

  • Jump headfirst into the project, defining the shape and scope of the game in collaboration with other designers and producers
  • Document and communicate features and systems to all teams across the studio
  • Get hands-on in the editor to prototype, develop and balance core features
  • Empower other members of the design team to grow and excel in their roles
  • Work with stakeholders both inside and outside of the studio to understand requirements for the game, studio and publisher.

The ideal candidate will…

  • Have shipped multiple games in senior / lead design roles
  • Have experience and understanding of multiple design disciplines
  • Be a great communicator, with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Be a great listener, able to take on and provide critical feedback
  • Have a passion for games, and the type of games we love to make
