We will be closing applications on Wednesday, May 15th to ensure we can review and respond to all candidates that have applied.
With 2+ million users and no capital raised, this is an opportunity to join a startup with a strong foundation and huge ambitions. As Going’s Vice President of Product, you will have one of the most invigorating and rewarding roles at the company: accelerating Going’s transformation into a world-class digital consumer product serving tens of millions of travelers. From a product perspective, we’re working on our second act and seeking to expand our product-market fit with new products and features that can scale to meet our ambitions. We are building a mobile-first travel subscription business that can stay aligned with the interests of travelers. We currently help people with cheap flights and are on a path to help them with more aspects of their trips.
If you’re excited by challenges, have a track record of innovation, can build and lead world-class teams, possess a deep understanding of the travel industry, and are ready to steer the direction of Product at a Product-led company, then we’d love to hear from you.
As the Vice President of Product at Going, you will guide and develop our product function, focusing on execution, innovation, strategy, and speed. You will own our product's full scope, including our web app and newly launched mobile app. The following teams will report to you: Product Management, Product Design, and our Flight Experts (the team curating and sending out manual deals).
Your role will be high-impact and involve close collaboration across all departments. You will collaborate with the CEO and other team members to refine the product vision and elevate, define, and execute the strategy to bring it to life.
As a product leader and manager, your mission will be to coach and motivate our product team to foster an innovative and growth-driven culture that can quickly deliver high-quality and reliable product experiences for our current and future members.
The bar for this role is high — we’re focused on becoming a market-leading, product-led growth company. We’re building a consumer business in one of the most competitive markets in the world with a massive TAM ($1 trillion+). We aim to provide design quality like Airbnb, product experience like Duolingo, and travel offerings like Hopper—all while prioritizing a member-first perspective, helping them travel and experience the world.
You should be extremely familiar with the travel industry and have expertise in airfare, accommodations, insurance, and more. You will play a key role in infusing deep travel expertise throughout the company. You will be joining Going’s Leadership Team, which includes people from top consumer product companies like Hopper and Ibotta, and you will report directly to the CEO.
