Electrical Engineer – Circuits & Harness

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support the engineering activities for large scale product development programs by investigating feasibility, developing electrical circuits and Harness design.
  • Work with program architects and product management to define key concepts. Provide Circuit and Harness engineering support for integration of features into new vehicle.
  • Ensure designs are meeting the safety, quality, reliability, development schedule, and cost goals set forth.
  • Write Technical reports and cross functional specifications – breaking down pre-requisites and requirements describing how they will affect the electrical system.
  • Participate in functional safety and quality tool screening, plans and executes the agreed tasks
  • Coordinate activities with other departments, external and internal customers and vendors as necessary to ensure the desired deliverables


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in automotive or aerospace Circuit Design and Harness Design.
  • Expert in Harness design, routing, drawings in Catia V5/V6
  • Knowledge of analog and digital circuit analysis/design
  • Experience designing brackets, troughs, grommets, and other attachment aides
  • Experience/understanding with harness sub-components, plastic-injection molding, harness coverings (against abrasions/serrations) and retainers, rapid proto-harnessing sub-assembly, and form-board production assembly process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS office.
