Coordinator, Corporate Communications
The Golden State Warriors are looking for a Coordinator to focus on publicity efforts for the team's off-court initiatives. The ideal candidate has a passion for sports and exemplifies diligence, creativity, and consistency.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications/Journalism or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3 years of public/media relations experience within the sports industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently lead multiple projects
Responsibilities
- Generate coverage for Warriors community relations efforts
- Support Warriors business initiatives within the company’s revenue generating departments
- Manage Warriors broadcast requests with NBC Sports Bay Area
- Manage publicity efforts for Warriors Gaming Squad
- Execute PR strategy for Warriors Basketball Academy
- Assist with Warriors player and alumni community and business appearances
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and the media
- Assist with media relations needs at special events and public appearances
- Write and produce related media materials
- Craft, implement and track public relations plans across all business operations
- Build and maintain positive relationships with media globally
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications/Journalism or equivalent work experience
