Retail Store Planner Allocation Analyst

As a retail store planner allocation analyst, you will be responsible for optimizing the allocation and distribution of merchandise to existing and new retail locations to ensure maximum sales potential and inventory efficiency. You will analyze store sales data, product trends, and store-specific sizing attributes to develop allocation strategies that meet sales targets while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts. Ability to work independently and communicate with every part of the organization providing data and guidance to drive best in class inventory management.


Responsibilities:
  • Sales Analysis: Analyze sales performance data across different retail locations to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement inventory allocation plans based on sales forecasts, inventory levels and store capacity and seasonality.
  • Allocation Strategy: Determine optimal allocation quantities for each product category, considering factors such as demand variability, product lifecycle stage, and promotional activities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including merchandising, planning, logistics, and store operations to ensure alignment of allocation strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Forecasting: Collaborate with planning and store operations teams to provide input on demand forecasts and ensure accuracy in predicting future inventory needs.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the effectiveness of allocation strategies and adjust as needed to optimize inventory turnover, minimize stockouts, and maximize sales.
  • Reporting: Generate weekly and monthly reports on allocation performance, inventory levels, and sales metrics to provide insights to key stakeholders and support decision-making processes.
  • Allocation Tools & Methods: Develop, utilize, and refine auto-replenishment tools. Create strategies for seasonal allocations driving optimum inventory levels by store. Leverage cross functional inventory to maximize sales and in-stock positions.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in retail planning, allocation, merchandising, or inventory management preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or other data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of retail math concepts such as sell-through, weeks of supply, and inventory turnover.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.


As a retail store planner allocation analyst, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient distribution of merchandise to retail locations, contributing to the company's sales and profitability goals. Your analytical skills, mindfulness, and ability to collaborate across functions will be key to success in this role.


Please note that this role requires to be onsite four days a week.
