This opportunity will remain online based on business needs which may be before or after the specified date.Note: Google’s hybrid workplace includes remote roles.Remote location: United States.Minimum qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.• 2 years of experience working with cyber defense teams in an operational environment such as SOC/CIRT, Cyber Threat Intelligence, or Blue Team.• 2 years of experience in managing and maintaining EDR, NDR, or other incident response technologies.• 2 years of experience with scripting.• 2 years of experience in an Engineering, System Administrator, or related role.Preferred qualifications:• Certification in one or more of the following: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+; CISCO (CCNA); ISC2 (CISSP); SANS (GSEC, GCIH, GCED, GCFA, GCIA, GNFA, GPEN).• Experience administering or implementing any other security platform (web application firewall Multi-factor authentication (MFA), Privilege Access Management, Threat and Vulnerability Management (TVM) scanner, SIEM).• Knowledge in security controls for common platforms and devices, including Windows, Linux and network equipment.• Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell and Python).• Ability to simplify and communicate complex ideas.• Excellent written/verbal communication and people management skills.About the jobIn this role, you are responsible for enabling the technology and tools required to effectively accomplish daily tasks within a Cyber Defense Center (CDC). You will collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams like Mandiant Architects, Mandiant Analysts, Client Information Technology (IT) resources, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) vendors, and other business resource owners, to define requirements and deliver recommendations focused on technologies required to support the client's CDC. In addition, also you are responsible for maintaining the operational readiness of client EDR, creating detection content, identifying areas for improvement, and setting appropriate configurations of EDR or related response technologies required for a client's SOC to maintain effective incident detection and response capabilities.Part of Google Cloud, Mandiant is a recognized leader in dynamic cyber defense, threat intelligence and incident response services. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google.Responsibilities• Identify issues in customer Cyber Defense Centers and formulate strategies for improvement, plan implementation of improvements, and execute/oversee plans to completion.• Advise on technologies relied upon by the client CDC, Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT), and SOC.• Provide expertise for EDR, Security information and event management (SIEM) and other SOC technologies that assist in incident response.• Engage and collaborate with client stakeholders and other groups within customer environment to drive resolution for security issues.• Create and modify EDR and SIEM use cases and detections written in both technology specific query language and Sigma open signature format.Google is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and is an affirmative action employer.
