About the job As the Director of Technical Program Management, you will define, manage, and lead complex projects in the Core Data space. You will plan requirements with internal customers and drive projects through the entire project lifecycle. You will manage project schedules, identify risks, and clearly communicate goals to project stakeholders. In this role, you will work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Operations within Core Data, coordinating with partner Product Areas including Ads, Search, YouTube, and Cloud. You will understand and work with complex systems, and solve/simplify complex problems. The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google's products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company. Responsibilities Drive technical projects requirements and launch, including managing complex project schedules, removing roadblocks, and keeping processes operating smoothly. Partner with engineering, product management, and operations teams to define, prioritize, and implement features, infrastructure, processes, and workflows. Manage a distributed team of Technical Program Managers that drive projects (i.e. developer analysis) across Core Data Serving and Storage. Manage communication of progress/status within the core team and with partners.
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
