General Ledger Accountant

Overview: Join Gopuff as a GL Accountant where you will maintain a best-in-class accounting function core to Gopuff's success. You will support the Accounting team with daily responsibilities, assigned month-end close tasks and strengthening the infrastructure for a generation-defining brand. As part of the Finance team, you will report to the Senior GL Accountant and partner with teams across the organization. • Work directly under a GL Senior Accountant assisting them in daily, weekly and monthly tasks
• Participate in monthly, quarterly and annual close processes
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
• Prepare account reconciliations, flux explanations and adhoc analysis
• Actively manage and account for all cash activities, including ecommerce transactions, funds transfers clearing accounts and Oracle banking rules
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of prepaid transactions and accrual accounting
• Assist in fixed asset and lease tasks, as necessary
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting needs
• Support external audit efforts.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
• 1-3 years’ experience in an accounting role (public experience preferred)
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial analysis
• High proficiency in Excel (formulas, vlookups and pivot tables)
• Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, remote team environment.

• Gopuff pays employees based on market pricing and pay may vary depending on your location. The salary range below reflects what we’d reasonably expect to pay candidates. A candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. • Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000
