Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)

Location: Tacoma, Washington

Job Types: Full-time

Pay: $80,000 - $90,000 per year + benefits

Schedule: Monday - Friday (9 AM – 5 PM)

In this role, you will: 

The Social Worker is responsible for providing individual and group counseling and direct service to children, teens, adults, and their families. These services range from assessment treatment planning, provision of counseling/psychotherapy, and crisis intervention. The Social Worker is a member of the treatment team and collaborates with other team members

Responsibilities:

• Conducts initial assessment of all new patients to evaluate social, emotional, and physical needs by applying social work theories and techniques; interviews and evaluates patients and family members.
• Identifies factors which may interfere with obtaining maximum benefits from treatment.
• Develops and implements patient management plans, including the coordination of referrals to specialty and social services, the recording of progress notes, and the provision of continuity of care.
• Helps clients cope with environmental and psychological issues of illness by explaining options and treatments as well as making appropriate referrals.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, counselors, and healthcare providers to ensure integrated care.
• Advocate for clients by connecting them with community resources and support services.
• Participate in case reviews, staff meetings, and continuing education opportunities.

• Qualified candidates must have at least two (2) years of direct work experience in child abuse or domestic abuse, or maternal or child health or medical social work.
• Must hold a current and active license as an LICSW in the state of California 
• Licensed Clinical Social Workers must possess a current, valid, unrestricted clinical license and a master’s degree in Social Work to practice social work independently.
• Must have working knowledge of basic computer skills and be able to use Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel programs.
• Ability to communicate and interact with others, both in person and/or by telephone to conduct business.
