GPA Recalcuator/Specialist (time-limited role)

The Undergraduate Admission GPA Recalculator/Specialist is responsible for serving as a member of the Admission Team during a critical time in the application review process. Specifically responsible for following a standard set forth in accordance with Undergraduate Admission’s policies and procedures to recalculate all GPA’s of all applicants during the Fall and Winter months (2023-2024); and taking on other tasks as associated with the application review process from an operational standpoint.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Responsible for recalculating the Grade Point Averages for all applicants to the incoming Undergraduate class.
  • Responsible for reviewing all documentation related to the high school transcript provided within the applicant’s record
  • Assumes additional operational responsibilities as needed or required.

WHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEED
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Previous experience working in college admission, high school counseling, or operations.
  • Must have strong understanding of general high school curricula and varying levels of academic rigor/class offerings.
  • Proficiency in quantitative reasoning as well as mathematical expertise.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency using excel and other data mining applications.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
  • Envisions and proposes new methods to perform tasks that support ET&A; takes thoughtful risks; and accepts new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results.
  • Anticipates and embraces change; demonstrates willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.
HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORK
  • This is a temporary role beginning in September or October 2023, working up to 6 months, with the possibility for extension.
  • The ability to work nights and weekends particularly around application deadlines to ensure GPAs are recalculated in time for admission readers to review candidate applications.
