Job Title: EstimatorOverview: We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at a leading general contracting firm specializing in commercial construction. The Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs and preparing competitive bid proposals for various construction projects.Responsibilities:• Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop detailed cost estimates.• Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather and review project data and pricing.• Prepare and present accurate bid proposals, including material and labor costs, overhead, and profit margins.• Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process and ensure accuracy.• Evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals, negotiate pricing, and select appropriate subcontractors for projects.• Monitor industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to update and refine estimating databases.• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project review sessions as required.Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.• Proven experience as an Estimator in commercial construction, with a strong background in estimating and bidding processes.• Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, CostX).• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with subcontractors and vendors.• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Benefits:• Competitive salary commensurate with experience.• Comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.• Opportunities for professional development and career growth within a respected construction firm.Confidential Application Process: To apply for the Estimator position, please send your resume and a cover letter outlining your estimating experience and qualifications to Marissa Pearce at marissa.pearce@gogpac.com.
