Job Description:gpac, a 30+ years recruitment company, is proud to partner with a well-established company in the Heavy Civil industry. Our client, a family-owned business with over 20 years of industry experience, is seeking a talented Heavy Civil Estimator to join their dynamic team. This is an amazing opportunity for candidates who are passionate about the construction industry and have strong analytical skills.Responsibilities:• Analyze company data, exchange rates, and prices using software packages.• Collaborate with project teams to develop accurate cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects.• Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine project scope and requirements.• Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and submit them within the specified timelines.Essential Job Functions:• Utilize industry knowledge and expertise to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on project quality.• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current construction market trends, materials, and labor costs.• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals for accuracy and competitiveness.• Collaborate cross-functionally with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely bid submissions.• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and industry events to network and gather information for bid preparationsSkills:• 5 - 10 years of experience in heavy civil estimating or a related field.• Proficient in analyzing company data and utilizing software packages for estimates.• Solid understanding of construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate and negotiate with stakeholders.Benefits: Our client offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:• Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.• 401k Retirement Plan• PTO• Paid HolidaysReady to Join Our Team?If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for Heavy Civil Estimating and want to work with a reputable company, I want to hear from you!
