GPAC has partnered with an amazing Non-Profit in the OKC area looking to add an HR/Accounting Manager to their staff and team asap!Job OverviewAs the Accounting and HR Manager, you will work closely with the team in a two-fold role, responsible for performing in-depth analysis of financial data, preparing various financial reports, and assisting in the month-end and year-end close and audit processes of the organization. Utilizing your financial expertise, you will contribute to the improvement of financial transparency and forecasting opportunities for future growth. In addition, this person will be responsible for developing and maintaining HR duties such as payroll, PTO, candidate screening, onboarding, and expense tracking.We are looking for a candidate who most effectively demonstrates a high level of critical thinking, communication, strategic thinking, and leadership skills to spearhead new opportunities for our organization.Responsibilities• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, vendor payments, recording of donations into the organization’s donor database and financial reporting system, reconciliation of deposits through merchant processors (i.e. stripe or others) with the financial reporting system, creation of donation receipting within 48 hours preferably, and other ongoing day-to-day financial operations as needed by the organization.• Oversee periodic financial and HR operations, including payroll, tax statements, month-end and year-end closing financial entries and reconciliations, and other periodic financial operations as needed.• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.• Maintains and develops more effective systems and processes for employee payroll, PTO, benefits administration, expense tracking, and onboarding of new employees.• Analyze financial data and provide regular reports to the President and the Board of Directors, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organization's mission and long-term goals.• Prepare and manage the annual budget, working closely with department heads to ensure alignment with programmatic objectives.• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and nonprofit accounting standards.• Supervise and guide any accounting personnel (in the future) in executing accounting functions.• Manage and coordinate documents to prepare 990 filings, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. (And Audit preparation in the future).• Lead efforts to seek ECFA or any accreditations for the organization as a nonprofit.• Maintain a strong system of internal controls to safeguard financial assets.• Monitor and develop cash flow forecasts to support strategic decision-making.• Oversee the management of the organization's investments• Develop investment strategies in alignment with the organization's financial goals and risk tolerance.• Implement and oversee risk management strategies, including insurance, to mitigate financial and operational risks.• Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to safeguard the organization's assets and interests.• Procure insurance policies and manage insurance-related matters.• Ensure the timely processing of insurance claims and the organization's compliance with insurance policies.• Assess potential risks and liabilities and take proactive measures to mitigate them.• Collaborate with legal advisors as needed to address risk-related legal matters.• Oversee managed IT providers and services, ensuring cost-effective solutions that align with the organization's needs.• Assist in budgeting and financial planning for technology upgrades and maintenance.• Serve as a key liaison to the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors, providing financial updates and recommendations.• Support the Board in making informed financial decisions.• Assist with special projects, special events, and other duties as assigned by the President.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or another related field• Experience working with Blackbaud Products (Raiser’s Edge, NXT, and Financial Edge) preferred.• Proven experience (5+ years) working in a financial leadership role, preferably within the nonprofit sector.• A self-starter with a proven track record of leadership• Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, HR, risk management,• Proficiency in Microsoft, financial software, and accounting systems, including QuickBooks• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.• Strong leadership and team management skills.• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is preferred but not required• A deep understanding of GAAP• Excellent written and verbal skillsPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:• Occasional standing, walking, and use of hands to finger, handle, or feel.• Occasional reaching with hands and arms.• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 15 pounds.• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.• Fast-paced work environment.• Ability to travel within the Oklahoma City area.If you feel you are qualified for this position, please send your resume to tiffany.stacy@gogpac.com for consideration.
