We are seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney to join our team and contribute to our continued success in defending clients' interests.Position Overview: We are looking for a seasoned Insurance Defense Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 5 years of experience to handle a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in defending insurers and their policyholders against claims, including personal injury, property damage, and professional liability cases. This role requires strong litigation skills, a deep understanding of insurance law, and the ability to manage cases from inception to resolution.Key Responsibilities:• Represent insurance companies and their policyholders in all phases of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial proceedings.• Analyze case facts, develop legal strategies, and provide sound legal advice to clients.• Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.• Conduct depositions, hearings, and trials.• Negotiate settlements and manage case resolutions in the best interests of clients.• Collaborate with experts, witnesses, and other legal professionals as needed.• Stay current with developments in insurance law and litigation trends.Qualifications:• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.• Active license to practice law in West Virginia.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.• Strong knowledge of West Virginia insurance law and regulations.• Proven ability to handle complex litigation and manage a substantial caseload.• Excellent oral and written communication skills.• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications:• Experience with large-loss or high-stakes cases.• Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution methods.• Previous experience in a defense firm or similar legal setting.What We Offer:• Competitive salary and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision and a 401K.• A collaborative and supportive work environment.• Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.• Work-life balance with flexible scheduling options.Interested in learning more?
