Junior Loan OfficerJunior Loan Officers work alongside established ag and commercial lenders to learn the industry, and market area, and learn the rules and regulations. Time will be spent on the credit analysis side of banking as well.Junior Loan Officer Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting• Banking background preferredJunior Loan Officer Responsibilities• Acquisition, expansion, and retention of commercial relationships using a proactive calling strategy• Cross-sell ancillary products and services of the bank• Analyze credit history of applicants and determines loan repayment capabilities• Negotiate credit terms, such as costs, loan repayment methods, and collateral specifications• Develop and maintain interest rate structure to be consistent with financial institution policies and procedures, and to be competitive with current market rates.• Evaluate potential customer loan requests and make loan recommendations to management• Daily review, approval, and disposition of commercial overdrafts• Review new laws and regulations that influence business lending within the financial institution and make recommendations to management when necessary• Provide assistance and recommend training for new commercial loan officers• Develop new customer prospects and business• Represent the bank in the local community through active participation in community affairsThis opportunity includes an excellent compensation and benefits package.
