Commercial Drywall Project ManagerSummary:We are looking for a highly skilled commercial drywall project manager with at least 4 years of experience working directly for a drywall company. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of drywall construction processes, materials, and labor requirements. The main responsibility of the commercial drywall project manager is to accurately estimate project costs, analyze blueprints, conduct on-site evaluations, and collaborate with project managers and clients to deliver detailed and competitive bids.Key Responsibilities:• Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to accurately estimate materials, labor, and equipment needed for drywall installations as a commercial drywall project manager.• Conduct on-site evaluations to assess project scope, conditions, and potential challenges.• Collaborate with project managers, architects, contractors, and clients to clarify project requirements and specifications.• Utilize estimating software and tools to generate detailed and accurate cost estimates, a key task for a commercial drywall project manager.• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals, including itemized breakdowns of costs, timelines, and project deliverables.• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure competitive pricing.• Review and negotiate contracts, change orders, and other project documents as needed.• Provide ongoing support to project teams by addressing inquiries, clarifying specifications, and resolving issues related to cost estimation.• Monitor project progress and budgetary performance to identify potential cost overruns or savings opportunities.• Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to source materials and subcontractors at competitive prices.• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as required.• Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project documents for future reference and analysis.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a commercial drywall project manager in the construction industry, focusing on drywall installations.• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.• Strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately quantify materials, labor, and equipment requirements.• Extensive knowledge of drywall construction methods, materials, and building codes.• Experience using construction estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff).• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing accurate and thorough cost estimates.• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to review and negotiate contracts and change orders.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.If you are interested in the role of commercial drywall project manager, please text or call me at 574.395.6205 or email your resume to alexandria.eli@gogpac.com.
