Our client, a highly respected heavy civil contractor, is looking for an Project Manager with bridge experience to join their dynamic team. The right candidate will have at least 5 years' experience in construction working on bridge projects. Position Overview: The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the planning, and execution of construction projects related to bridges. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, project management principles, and cost estimation techniques. The Project Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery within budget and schedule constraints. Key Responsibilities:• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to develop project plans, specifications, and timelines.• Ensure that all project activities adhere to relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.• Coordinate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient project execution.• Analyze project scope and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.• Lead project teams by setting clear goals, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress throughout the project lifecycle.• Track project milestones, schedules, and budgets, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure successful project delivery.• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, changes, and any potential issues.• Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges that may arise during construction.• Implement proactive measures to ensure safety and compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.• Monitor project quality to ensure workmanship, materials, and construction methods meet industry standards and project specifications.• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation, including contracts, change orders, progress reports, and correspondence.• Prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders, summarizing project progress, challenges, and financial status.Qualifications and Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.• Proven experience as a Project Manager on bridge construction projects.• Proficiency in project management software, cost estimation tools, and scheduling software.• Strong understanding of construction codes, regulations, and safety standards.• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.For additional information on this opportunity or to confidentially send your resume, contact me at christine.rentschler@gogpac.com
