Sales EngineerWe are seeking a Sales Engineer to join our organization. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with our customers, providing valuable consultation, proposals/quotations, and product solutions based on their needs. Our customers come from a variety of industries including chemical, power generation, refining, oil & gas, food & beverage, pulp & paper, and water. The Sales Engineer must evaluate process conditions and select the most effective product to meet the customer’s needs while providing the best value, long service life, and flexibility for future requirements. They will work with Account Managers in providing solution-based services, new products, and application solutions specific to customer requirements.Key Responsibilities:• Consult with Process Engineers, Operations Managers, and plant maintenance resources to create/capture value in the effective selection of our valve products and services.• Develop a solid understanding of customer’s production systems, applications, process and the role & impact of our valve technologies and services have in meeting their goals.• Identify opportunities for us to analyze and recommend solutions to valve performance problems and maintenance related performance issues.• Increase customers’ awareness of value received in effective use of Emerson valves and MRO services.• Identify, build, and maintain relationships with customers’ maintenance engineers, operations staff, and sponsors who influence the purchase and use of our Fisher/Emerson valves and MRO services.• Provide product proposals that are in the best interest of the customer, consistent with both Customer and Company goals.• Proactively look for opportunities to improve our effectiveness in delivering value and meeting customers’ requirements through improved processes and training.• Understand the technology, products, services, and strategic direction of control valves, automated on/off valves, and related technologies & services.• Effectively work with factory resources & product specialists, service providers, and sales operations to develop and deliver solutions and value to our customers.• Proactively work to help develop and support the account strategies lead by our Account Managers.• Recommend and communicate solutions utilizing valve technologies for customers.• Contribute to our Strategic Account Management and Solution Selling processes for our selected most valuable and most growable customers (MVCs & MGCs).Preferred Attributes/Skills:• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and every-changing environment.• Critical and analytical thinking.• Sound problem solving and decision-making skills.• Strong Collaboration and teamwork.Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree.• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and ability to work efficiently and effectively within a business system.• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.• Leadership ability.Benefits:• Major medical, dental, and vision insurance• 401K with employer match and Safe Harbor Contribution• Flexible work environment with hybrid options (role dependent)• PTO for personal time, vacation, and paid holidaysPlease submit a resume for consideration.
