Trust & Estate Paralegal
Location: Los Angeles, CA (Westwood)
Position Overview:
Our Los Angeles office is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal with 5-8 years of expertise in estate planning and trust administration. This position is ideal for a professional who is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in managing the complexities of estate planning and trust administration. The successful candidate will handle essential document preparation, client communications, and legal research to support our attorneys and clients.Key Responsibilities:• Prepare, review, and organize legal documents for estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.• Administer trust estates, including preparing trust accountings, maintaining financial records, and ensuring compliance with trust documents and relevant legal requirements.• Conduct legal research related to estate and tax planning, trust administration, and probate proceedings.• Communicate directly with clients, beneficiaries, and fiduciaries to provide updates, request information, and answer routine inquiries.• Coordinate with attorneys on case progress, deadlines, and specific client needs.• Facilitate probate filings and court submissions, as well as prepare and file related legal forms.• Assist with tax filings and preparation of trust and estate-related tax documentation.Qualifications:• Experience: 5-8 years of experience as a Trusts & Estates Paralegal, with strong expertise in estate planning and trust administration.• Education: Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program.• Skills: Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills; strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and estate planning software; experience with document management systems is preferred.Why Join Us?This is an opportunity to work within a collaborative, professional, and client-focused team environment.
